Morning All!
Today I'd like to share a scrapbook layout and am sharing it on the Use Your Craft Stash site on FB.
I love crafting but one of my other passions is researching my family history. So...a while back... I decided to create a layout featuring one of my ancestors - it is now finished, framed and hangs on our wall. James (Jimmy) MacDonald - was the Head of Sound at Disney and the voice of Mickey Mouse for over 30 years.
I created the layout using two of my favourite paper lines - Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny - and designed it in a mosaic style which also enabled me to show our shared ancestors and created a secret panel in the middle where I have added all my journalling.
I have also used metal embellishments, gems and film reel cut from the paper to add decoration.
Anyway, hope you like my layout and thanks for popping by!
Best wishes

More Time...

This is another card that I created using similar techniques to the tag below to make a card for the ABC Challenge which this week is 'W for Wish' My wish is for more hours in the day ha! ha! - as there never seem to be enough! The stamps I used were the Bo Bunny clock, the sentiment and gears from Paper Artsy and a swirl from Inkadinkadoo. The colours used for the background were Distress Peeled Paint and Marigold and a yellow dew drop ink pad. I stamped the gears in versa mark and covered them with heritage gold Perfect Pearls. The bronze coloured pearls were made with a Pearl Pen with Glossy Accents on the clock face.
Hope you like it - though this would make a great men's card too!
Bye for now

PS - the card is straight its just that I took the pic on a black background and somehow it now looks wonky!

A Little Bit of Aging...
I'm on a bit of a roll this week and wanted to share another layout with you. The other night I was sorting through our old pics and came across this one from our wedding day. I showed Jeff and we were amazed at how young we looked!! This year it will be 17 years ago so that's a fair bit of aging ha! ha! As a result we vowed to take lots of pics of ourselves and our 'adventures' this year so that in 17 years from now we'll look really young when we look back at our pics from 2011! Not sure if that'll work but at least I'll have lots of pics to scrap!
Anyway, I followed the latest Bo Bunny Friday Challenge sketch and dug out some older 'Unforgetable' papers which are just perfect for this layout and tried to stick to a colour palette of red, black, white and grey. I then asked Jeff what would be a good title and he named it - The Happiest Day - and it was. He's an old softie really and I love him to bits so this layout is dedicated to him and some fab memories of that day!
Hope you like it. Bye for now

Popcorn and Souffle

This is my entry for the Totally Paper Crafts 'Friends' Challenge. I've used an image of Popcorn the Bear and Souffle the Duck from the 'Floral' cd by Crafter's Companion and matched it with some background papers from the same cd. The 'true friends' sentiment is Bo Bunny! Hope you like it!
