Bo Bunny Thanks

Hi Everyone!
I may have already mentioned that I love Bo Bunny papers!!! Well, last week I was lucky enough to win their Tuesday challenge which was to make a card featuring Valentine's Candy! How fab is that!! Can't wait to see what lovely goodies are winging their way to me. If you fancy having a go at their latest Bo Bunny Card Challenge Tuesday head over to their blog.
Here is the card I've made using their lovely Olivia collection - a fab assortment of greens, peaches and burgundy's - scrumptious! I love layering their papers and combining a mix of florals and stripes - everything always seems to work so well together.
Hope you like it!

A Little Bit of Aging...

I'm on a bit of a roll this week and wanted to share another layout with you. The other night I was sorting through our old pics and came across this one from our wedding day. I showed Jeff and we were amazed at how young we looked!! This year it will be 17 years ago so that's a fair bit of aging ha! ha! As a result we vowed to take lots of pics of ourselves and our 'adventures' this year so that in 17 years from now we'll look really young when we look back at our pics from 2011! Not sure if that'll work but at least I'll have lots of pics to scrap!

Anyway, I followed the latest Bo Bunny Friday Challenge sketch and dug out some older 'Unforgetable' papers which are just perfect for this layout and tried to stick to a colour palette of red, black, white and grey. I then asked Jeff what would be a good title and he named it - The Happiest Day - and it was. He's an old softie really and I love him to bits so this layout is dedicated to him and some fab memories of that day!
Hope you like it. Bye for now

Thirties Wedded Bliss!

In December, when I was lucky enough to become a runner up in Scrapbooker of the Year 2010 for Scrapbook Magazine, I promised to share some of my layouts with you and so far have only shared one! So now I hope to remedy that and inbetween my card challenges I will start to post more examples of my favourite craft - scrapbooking!

This layout is of my grandparents wedding in the 1930s. I thought the Graphic 45 Le Romantique papers would be ideal for this as some of the images of the brides mimic the style of wedding dress worn by my grandmother. This collection is ideal for lots of fussy cutting out and layering. I chose a leathery look burgundy/brown background paper for a slightly vintage look which is imprinted with roses and then added a large piece of peach lace to again compliment the
wedding theme and give me a base to work on. I added a little journalling spot which I made by using a Papermania Chatworth collection journalling spot that I aged with distress ink. It was also the perfect layout to add pearl beads and a little bling which I coloured a peachy colour with my Pro Markers.
Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
Best wishes and bye for now

Chocs to Cherish

Hi Everyone!
Here I am with the second post of the day! I nearly forgot to post my card for the Bo Bunny Tuesday Challenge so here it is! The challenge was to use some Valentine candy so I chose some pretty pink chocolate hearts for my card layout. The papers used were from the lovely Persuasion collection with a little pink piece from the Alissa set and I popped some layers up on foam tape to add dimension (but you can't see this very well from the pic.) I teamed this with some raspberry coloured card stock and distressed all the edges and for a bit of bling added some bright pink holographic layers to complement the pink foil chocolate wrappers. A couple of gems and some Fruit Punch Stickles helped finish off my 'homage to chocolate'! If you love Bo Bunny papers like me then why not head over to their Bo Bunny Blogspot for endless inspiration.

Kitty Correspondence

This week over at Penny Black Saturday the challenge is to make a Men's Card. Not always the easiest thing to do when you like your flowers, bling and a bit of glitz but this is my take on the challenge using a little PB cat in an envelope for my image and some lovely masculine coloured papers from Papermania.
Have a great Sunday!
Best wishes and bye for now

Pretty in Pink

Morning Everyone!
Today, I'd like to share a card I made for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which this week is called 'Pretty in Pink'. My little bunny is from their Garden Friends set which I've coloured with ProMarkers and the sentiment is from a Personal Impressions stamp. I'd also like to combine this challenge with Penny Black at Allsorts which is to Say it With Flowers and the Simon Says Stamp challenge which is to make your own embellishments which I'd did by using a combination of different sized flower punches! Anyway, hope you like it!
Have a good Friday!
Best wishes

Berry Cute Mice!

Hi Everyone
Today I'd like to share a card I made for a competition entry. I love mice images and love summer fruits so the little House Mouse Berry Mouse are (one) of my favourite images. I tried to come up with a new way of using Joanna Sheen's HM decoupage and created a Strawberry shaped card out of red and green cardstock which I ran through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots embossing folder to try and make it look like a textured strawberry. I managed to make it into an easel card so that it would stand up and show off the images which I rearranged to fit. The second image shows the back of the card and the envelope where I used some leftover decoupage layers for decoration.

I love this little card and hope you do too! I'd like to enter it into this week's House Mouse and Friend's Challenge which this week is to 'Choose Your Favourite image' which - would you believe it, is actually harder than you'd think! ha! ha!

Anyway, have a nice evening.

Winter Fairy

Hello Everyone
Just a quick post this evening. Over at the ABC Challenge this week the theme is to use your Spellbinders so I thought I would enter a Christmas card I made using the large scalloped dies. The image is a Lili of the Valley fairy and the papers are K&Co Winter Wonderland. Sorry about the glare off the blue mirri card, its not ideal taking pics in the evening light!

Anyway, hope you like it and that you all had a good weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.
Best wishes

Love Is... Hedgie

Afternoon Everyone!
This afternoon I whipped out my Martha Stewart punches to see what I could create and decided to make a Punch Around the Page card using the 'Cherish' design and turn it into a fancy easel card. I know Valentine's Day is all about Hearts and Flowers but the men in our lives don't necessarily appreciate the flowers bit so this is my attempt at a man's Valentine card using vintage, toned down colours. I know its still cutesy but you can't help but love the Penny Black Hedgies and they're great to use with your Pro markers!!! The inside greetings stamp was one from a versatile set by Personal Impressions where you stamp the sentiment and the circle border seperately. The 'Love Is' sentiment was typed on the computer and the red and cream stripy paper was from Dovecraft.
I hope you like it and plan to enter it into the Penny Black Saturday Challenge which is 'Love is', Oldie But a Goodie - 'Have a Heart' challenge - which is also the theme of Papertake Weekly - and A Passion for Promarkers which is 'Let there be love'.
Anyway,best be off.
