Xyron Canvas

Afternoon Crafters!
Can you believe its the 1st of December already! Well if you are looking for gift ideas for crafty loved ones the new Xyron machine is perfect and enables you to make your papercrafts self adhesive so that you can make all sorts of goodies.

I used it to create this canvas - diecutting the flowers with Sheena's Wild Briar Rose die out of paper, running them through the machine to make them adhesive and then sticking them to the same shapes but cut out of chipboard - instant chipboard embellishments.
I also ran the lace trim, buttons, diecut fence and sentiment through the machine as well!

Hope you like it!

Don't forget to tune in to Fiona's Crafter's Companion shows on Create and Craft today.
Bye for now

Poinsettia Pop Up

Morning All!
I hope you are managing to stay safe in this wild and windy weather!
Today I'd like to share a card using the lovely Luxury Christmas card from Crafter's Companion. I decided to make a pop up box card on my Ultimate Pro and add some Die'sire Poinsettias - perfect for this time of year!

I love to have a real poinsettia in the house at Christmas as part of my decorations, but if you made one of these cards it would be ideal to give to someone who is unfortunately in hospital over the holidays so that they can feel a little bit festive too!
Hope you like it!

Stack Em Up

If you're looking for something to pop small Christmas prezzies in, why not use the Slip Case box technique from the Crafter's Companion Ultimate Pro DVDs. I made three in different sizes and stacked them one on top of the other before decorating with a poinsettia  - made from the Die'sire Poinsettia die, a sentiment and some ribbon. The card used is the lovely Luxury Christmas A3 range.
Hope you like it! xx

Winter Gathering

Morning All!
Just thought I'd share four items I made with the 'Winter Gathering' set from Hunkydory's Christmas Craftinator. I managed to make a stepper card, DL card, easel card and little gift box - all the insides are decorated too!

Hope you like them - I really enjoyed making them!
Best wishes

Pretty Post Its

Hi All!
On the run up to Christmas I love making little Post It Note holders as Stocking fillers, but they are ideal for little prezzies at any time of year. This time I've made some using Hunkydory's Smudge and Mitten kit so I thought I'd share a photo of a couple of them below and a tutorial of how to make some yourself.
I'd like to enter them into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Anything Goes (a gift for Christmas)
ABC Challenge - U is for Unlimited (Anything Goes)
Cute Card Thursday - Food and Drink (Mitten Baking)

All bagged up and ready for gifts, or for sale...

These Post It Note Holders and attached pens make great stocking fillers, or bag them up to sell at Craft Fayres or Charity Events – a great way to use up you leftover toppers and patterned papers!

Step 1

Cut a piece of Core’dinations card or double sided cardstock to 7 3/8 x 3 ¼ inches. Along the long side - score at 3 1/8, 3 ½ and 3 7/8. Fold on the middle score line, roughly find the centre and make two cuts to the outer score lines – making a one inch wide section. This will make the holder for your pen.

Step 2
Lay your cardstock flat and where the three score lines run vertically, place two small pieces of red line tap between the 3 ½ and 3 7/8 measures. DO NOT put tape all the way down or you will seal up your pen holder!

Step 3
Take the backing off the tape, fold the cardstock over and adhere the scored section to the back cover.

Step 4
When you look at your Post It Note Holder from the outside, the pen holder section will stand proud.

Step 5
Adhere a Post It Note pad to the back cover, add a small Gel Pen (Available in local discount stores very cheaply) and decorate.

Step 6
For a professional finish, pop into 6x4 cello bags and label ready to sell or give to charity.

Botanicabella Botanist

Just popped by to share a project I made using the fabulous Botanicabella collection from Graphic 45 - sent to me by the lovely peeps at Jones Crafts.
I decided to alter a book box and make it into a little keepsake box which may have belonged to a Victorian botanist.

Inside I made a mini album notebook out of grunge board and the papers where the botanist could make notes and keep samples of his finds. I also created a little pin board on the inside of the box where he could store pictures and cuttings, and I even added some littlepaper butterfly samples - collected just as a Victorian would have done.

I hope you like my little project. I love decorating the box to look like a book!
Many thanks and bye for now

It really is lovely and perfect for making gift boxes.

Here is a little picnic basket I made using the card and the instructions from the new Ultimate Pro Boxes DVD.

The dies are the Christmas Poinsettia dies which I love.
Anyway hope you like it.

A Little Bit Nordic

Hi Everyone!
Back with a little card and gift tag I made with one of the fab stamps sets in the Crafter's Companion Nordic Christmas range.

Hope you like them!

Lullaby Lovelies

Afternoon All!
Today I'd like to share a card and gift bag I made with the lovely Butterfly Lullaby papers from Sara Davies' Signature Collection.

These papers really are lovely and I decided to fussy cut some of the images to use as embellishments.
The card was made on an 8x8 card base, layering with Coredinations Mauve card and black card. I raised all the images with Collall 3D Glue Gel.

I then decorated inside to match - the embossing folder is Crafter's Companion Embossalicious Delicate Floral.

The little bag was also made with papers and the elements layered on the front. I also added glitter, ribbon and pearl pen.

Anway, hope you like this little set - thanks for popping by!

World's Fair Trio

Afternoon Folks!
Today I thought I'd share some projects I have made using the fabulous Graphic 45 'World's Fair' collection, sent to me by the lovely people at Jones Crafts.
I first decided to make a 5.5 x 5.5 inch card from Kraft card and cut images from the papers to create a male themed design. The original A4 piece of Kraft card that I used had a spare bit left over so I then made a tag to match.

In my stash I also had a blank Kraft notebook so I decided to decorate that too so I had a little gift to match.

I hope you like my little trio as much as I enjoyed creating them. Thanks for popping by!

I'd like to enter my trio in the following challenge:
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes

Beautiful Bauble

Evening Crafters!
Just thought I'd pop by and share an easel card I made using the A6 Bauble Create a Card Die from Crafter's Companion. These dies are so easy and effective to use. I teamed up my Coredinations cardstock with Centura Pearl and silver mirri card, and also used the die to emboss the image on the bottom layer of the card.
Hope you like it! xx

Make a Note

Afternoon Crafty Peeps!
Today I'm sharing a magnetic notebook I made using the Graphic 45 World's Fair papers and embellishments sent to me by the lovely folks at Jones Craft.

I loved all the fussy cutting, and the vibrant orange and blue colour scheme running through this collection. I think I might make a few more of these for Christmas prezzies as they are ideal for popping on your fridge to write your shopping lists.
Hope you like it!
Best wishes and bye for now
