Come Fly With Me...

Afternoon All!
Just back with a card I made using the 'Aeroplane' rubber stamp by Lili of the Valley.  I love bright or vintage colours but am never very good at keeping it pale - although I love the creations crafters make with pastel coloured tones. So...I thought I'd challenge myself and this is what I've come up with.

I coloured the image with my Promarkers, used papers from the My Mind's Eye 'Sweetest Thing' pad, added Card Candi, a printed sentiment and a little 'waterfall' Stickles for a bit of shimmer. I'm quite pleased with it and will be trying out a bit more 'pale' colouring in future.

Anyway, hope you like it and if like me you always choose darker colours, why not give your pastels a go! I'd like to enter this card in the Passion for Promarkers which this week is 'One for the Boys', the Simon Says Stamp 'Anything Goes' challenge and the Crafty Cardmaker's 'Winged Things' challenge.
Thanks for looking!

A Ladies Diary Layout

Hi All!

Today I'm back with a quick post to show you a layout I made showing my friend and I on one of our trips out in the summer.

I love Graphic 45 paper and I just wanted to show that even with the most simplest of elements and a little fussy cutting, you can create a really great layout! The paper collection I used was from the Ladies Diary.

Hope you like it!

Colour Combo

Morning All!
Today I have a card to show you that I made using a lovely Elizabeth Bell topper. At the moment I am enjoying making cards with fresh, bright colours so I have decided to enter this in the Charisma Cardz Challenge which this week is 'Your Favourite Colour Combo' - so mine is orange and green. It's great to move outside your comfort zone and try out new colour combinations - sometimes colours that you had not thought of putting together work perfectly and give your cards a whole new look!

I layered the card with Fancy Pants papers matted on to tan card stock and used my Martha Stewart doiley border punch (an oldie but a goodie) - to create the border. I decided to make my own punched flowers from the papers and inked them with Distress inks before adding a gem to the centres and corners of the card. I also found the perfect matching Maya Road ribbon to complete the layout ' before I decorated the inside of the card to match.

Hope you like it! Why not pop over to the challenge blog and join in the fun!
Have a great weekend!

New Beginnings

Today I'd like to share a card and tag I made using the Lili of the Valley 'Playtime Puppy' stamp. I decided to use a colour scheme that could be used for a boy or a girl and went with lilac and lemon.
I coloured the image with my Promarkers - it is such a quick little image to colour - and mounted it onto sparkly paper I had in my stash from Fizzy Moon.
The background mats I punched with a Martha Stewart punch around the page, before embellishing it with glittery blooms, gems, Stickles and organza ribbon. I made the tag to match but also added a sparkly silver mat to match in with the wrapping paper I already had.

Anyway, hope you like them. I hope to enter them in this month's challenge over on the Scrapology blog which is 'New Beginnings', the Totally Papercrafts challenge which is 'New Baby', and at Papertake Weekly's challenge which is 'Make it Sparkle'.

Thanks for looking!
Best wishes

Sweet Heart

Hi All!
Sorry I've been away for so long! I've been snowed under with work but now I'm back and ready to get crafty!

First up I'd like to show you a card I made using a little kitten image from the fabulous Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. I coloured him in with my Promarkers and teamed him up with vibrant Echo Park papers. I made a border with my Martha Stewart punch, embellished it with gems and layered everything up on gold lattice card. The sentiment is a Lili of the Valley stamp. Finally, I continued the red and white theme inside and cut a journalling panel with a Spellbinders Radiant Rectangle die.

Anyway, hope you like it! I'd like to enter this in the ABC Challenge which this week is 'Very Cute'.
Best wishes and bye for now
