Its Only Words...

Today I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made with Crafter's Companion Vertical Word dies and stamps.
These are such a great concept and allow you to stamp an arrangement of flowers on any sized card and then stamp and die cut your sentiment to layer over the top :) You can also make each one different depending upon the colours you use.
Hope you like these two versions.

Take Three - Hunkydory Birds of Britain

Afternoon Everyone!
I've been having a bit of fun challenging myself to see what I can make with the 3 piece Hunkydory Kits that I have in my stash.
The first of my 'Take Three' Challenges uses the Birds of Britain Chaffinch set. I managed to make a Centre Step Card, a Square Easel Card, a scalloped Circle Easel Card, a DL Card and a little Notepad. I've joined in with the 'Wings and Things' Challenge over on Use Your Crafts Stash on Facebook.
I really enjoyed the challenge and I hope you like them!

This was the 3 piece kit I made the cards from:

Butterfly Silhouette

Morning Everyone!
I was in need of a 'flat' card I could send through the post so I dug around in my stash and decided to use one of my favourite Outline Dies. I cut the the die from black card and painted it with my Crystal Sparkle Ink and then layered it onto a background made with Harmony Inks and splashed with the same Spectrum Noir Crystal Sparkle in from Crafter's Companion. For a change I stamped the sentiment - included in the pack - three times and added it down the side of the card.
Hope you like it!

A Rainbow of Colours

Afternoon Everyone!
I just thought I would share a little card I made to fit in with the 'Rainbow' challenge over at Use you Craft Stash on FB.
I used a rainbow of colours to add to my kites - the stamps are by Hello Bluebird - coloured with my Spectrum Noir Triblends. I alos added a rainbow of colours around the edge to create a border.
Hope you like it!

Garden Helpers

Afternoon All!
Today I wanted to share another card I've made for the Use Your Craft Stash site on FB.
This time I used some of my older Hunkydory stash and turned one of the packs into a pop up card. I love how bright and springlike the art work is, and the birds and rabbits gathered around the watering can, basket and plant pots. Hopefully it will brighten someone's day during lockdown :)
Hope you like it!

Family History Favourite

Morning All!
Today I'd like to share a scrapbook layout and am sharing it on the Use Your Craft Stash site on FB.
I love crafting but one of my other passions is researching my family history. So...a while back... I decided to create a layout featuring one of my ancestors - it is now finished, framed and hangs on our wall. James (Jimmy) MacDonald - was the Head of Sound at Disney and the voice of Mickey Mouse for over 30 years.

I created the layout using two of my favourite paper lines - Graphic 45 and Bo Bunny - and designed it in a mosaic style which also enabled me to show our shared ancestors and created a secret panel in the middle where I have added all my journalling.

I have also used metal embellishments, gems and film reel cut from the paper to add decoration.

Anyway, hope you like my layout and thanks for popping by!
Best wishes

Gone Veggie

Hi Everyone!
Just popping by to join in with the Gardening Challenge over at Use Your Craft Stash on FB.

I dug around in my stash and remembered I had the lovely Graphic 45 Home Sweet Home collection, so I cut out all the veggies and came up with these cards. I'm thinking they would make great cards for my two uncles later in the year. I couldn't help but add a few pearls in the corner - not very masculine I know - but they are brown and not to girly so I may just get away with it lol!

Happy Easter Gift Boxes

I thought I would share these little Easter Cards and Mini Gift Boxes that I made for our elderly neighbours who can't get out at the moment during lockdown. I filled the boxes with little cartons of Mini Eggs. I also ended up making some for a few of the girls from work to cheer them up, and created 12 boxes in the end - they were such fun to make!

The stamps are from the Hello Bluebird range and most of the papers used were from an older My Mind's Eye 6x6 pad called 'Bluebell'. I coloured the images with my favourite Spectrum Noir Triblend pens.

Hope you like them!
Happy Easter everyone!

Life is Good Pop Up Box

Hi Everyone!

Well its been an absolute age since I've posted on here so I thought I'd pop along and update things.

I'm still lucky enough to be crafting regularly for Crafter's Companion and was asked along to the Creative World show in Frankfurt in January to demonstrate on their stand. It was a fabulous experience and I loved every minute of it.

I've also been demonstrating for them regularly in North Wales and Cheshire - which I really enjoy - along with catching up with regular customers and having a good old crafty chat!

Unfortunately life for us all has drastically changed at present with the Coronavirus and as we are on lockdown I've decided to get out some of my crafty stash, dust it off and make some things.

The first is using the Lawn Fawn stamps called 'Life is Good' - which sadly it isn't right now, but hopefully this cheery card makes us hope for things to come when we have beaten this awful virus. I coloured the images with my Spectrum Noir pens and used Distress Oxides for the beachy backgrounds.

I hope you like my little pop up card.

Stay safe all xx
