On the run up to Christmas I love making little Post It Note holders as Stocking fillers, but they are ideal for little prezzies at any time of year. This time I've made some using Hunkydory's Smudge and Mitten kit so I thought I'd share a photo of a couple of them below and a tutorial of how to make some yourself.
I'd like to enter them into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Anything Goes (a gift for Christmas)
ABC Challenge - U is for Unlimited (Anything Goes)
Cute Card Thursday - Food and Drink (Mitten Baking)
All bagged up and ready for gifts, or for sale...
These Post It Note
Holders and attached pens make great stocking fillers, or bag them up to sell
at Craft Fayres or Charity Events – a great way to use up you leftover toppers
and patterned papers!
Step 1
Cut a piece of Core’dinations card or double sided cardstock
to 7 3/8 x 3 ¼ inches. Along the long side - score at 3 1/8, 3 ½ and 3 7/8.
Fold on the middle score line, roughly find the centre and make two cuts to the
outer score lines – making a one inch wide section. This will make the holder
for your pen.
Step 2
Lay your cardstock flat and where the three score lines run
vertically, place two small pieces of red line tap between the 3 ½ and 3 7/8
measures. DO NOT put tape all the
way down or you will seal up your pen holder!
Step 3
Take the backing off the tape, fold the cardstock over and
adhere the scored section to the back cover.
Step 4
When you look at your Post It Note Holder from the outside,
the pen holder section will stand proud.
Step 5
Adhere a Post It Note pad to the back cover, add a small Gel
Pen (Available in local discount stores very cheaply) and decorate.
Step 6
For a professional finish, pop into 6x4 cello bags and label
ready to sell or give to charity.
A cute image and a fabulous card design. Thanks for joining us at ABC, good luck with the challenge. hugs Shirleyxxxxx
