Diamond Fold for Men

Afternoon All!
Today I'm back with one of those tricky to make 'masculine cards'. If you've managed to get your hands on one of the new Camden Town CDs from Crafter's Companion then the job of making a man's card becomes much easier by using some of the fab images included.

Using a favourite colour combo for men's cards (brown and green), I chose to make a 'jump up' diamond fold card - the instructions on how I made this can be found on the Crafter's Companion Club Inspire site - which is free to join - so why not head on over there for lots more crafty inspiration!

I created a shaped edge to my card using a Martha Stewart 'Cherish' punch around the page, added Card Candi from Craftwork Cards as embellishments before adhering an insert to the back panel as a place to write a greeting.

Anyway, hope you like this card. I'd like to enter it into the Sparkles Monthly Challenge which is to use your favourite colour combo. (Brown and Green)
Best wishes and bye for now

Mulberry Bear

Hi Everyone!
Back today with a little project I made for the Crafter's Companion Challenge which this month is 'Floral'.

I decided to use a Mulberry Wood image of the little bear relaxing in the garden and coloured him with my Spectrum Noirs.

The box was made using the fab gable box pattern on one of the Sweet Treats boards from Crafter's Companion with papers printed from the matching CD. On the gable part of the box I used a pale green spotty patterned paper and debossed it with the honeycomb embossing folder for a bit of texture and to look like garden trellis. I then used a Martha Stewart border punch to give the effect of a wrought iron fence.

The flowers were created from the Die'sire quilling dies - small sunflower and bliss flower - inked with Fired Brick Distress Ink and sprayed with silver Spray and Sparkle.

Finally, I added some glittery gems for the centres of the flowers and matching gold coloured gems along the bottom.
Spectrum colours:
 GB8, GB10, TN7, TN2, FS2,
DG3, CG2, CG1, EB1, EB2, DR1, DR3
TB2, IG2

I hope you like my take on the challenge. Why not pop over to the Facebook page and join in - you still have plenty of time to make your own floral creation!

Best wishes and bye for now

Camden Town Spring Garden Album

Back again today to share another project I made using the fab images on the new Camden Town CDs by Crafter's Companion.

This time I chose to create a mini album using the decoupage sections to create the cover and the background papers and elements to decorate the inside. I added frames to slot your photos behind created from the Die'sire Ornate Oval dies and printed tags from the female CD onto gently shimmering Centura Pearl cardstock.
The pages were made from envelopes punched with my Bind it All.

I finished the project with organza ribbon, lace, pearls and Stickles.
Anyhoo...hope you like this latest project. I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
The Ribbon Girl - Spring
Allsorts Challenge - Spring Blossoms
Inky Chicks - Butterflies - decoupages on my cover.

Sweet Treats

Afternoon All!
Just back with a quick post. Over on the Simon Says blog, the challenge this week is Sweet Treats so I thought that this little image from the Crafter's Companion 'Angelica and Adam' CD fitted perfectly with this little girl carrying a huge cup cake!

I created an easel card using a Go Kreate die and kept the colour scheme simple using pink, white and silver, adding interest with a honeycomb embossing folder, Spellbinders Ornate Squares die and a Martha Stewart punched border.
I finished this little card with gems, punched flowers and a sentiment created on my computer.

Anyway hope you like it. I'd also like to enter it into the following challenges:
Simon Says - Sweet Treats or Easter
Moving Along with The Times - Sweet Treats
Charisma Cardz - Anything Goes
Best wishes and bye for now

Arty Mice

Afternoon All!
Today I'd like to share a card I made using a comical little House Mouse image coloured with my new Spectrum Noir pencils from Crafter's Companion. These pencils are so easy to use and blend and have the ability to give you strong, bold looks, or pastel, watercolour style effects. I was tempted to add in my alcohol markers too, but in the end decided to simply use the pencils, teaming the colours up with pink and green background papers, and ribbed chocolate brown cardstock..

The flowers used are from the Ribbon Girl and my stash, I punched the leaves, added lace, a ribbon and pearl bow, and a sentiment from Craftwork Cards.

Anyway, hope you like this springtime coloured card. Why not pull out your pencils or markers, pop over to the Spectrum Noir blog and join in with their challenge, which this month is 'Anything Goes'.

Thanks for stopping by.
Best wishes and bye for now
