Brambly Hedge Boxed Set

Afternoon All!
Today I'd like to share a little notelet / card set I made using the 6x6 inch papers from Crafter's Companion's Brambly Hedge set.

I die cut the images, decoupaged each scene and then added a fancy gold matt using the Tonic Heart Vine as a base.

I also decorated the inside with the leftover diecut papers and then created a little box on my Ultimate Pro to house all four cards and envelopes in.

Hope you like them.
Best wishes and bye for now

A Piece of Paradise

Today I'd like to share a little card made using an Accordion die from Elizabeth Crafts. I'm really enjoying going back to my older Graphic 45 scraps and seeing what I can create - this card used images and papers from Tropical Travelogue.

I tried to create a vibrant colour scheme and layout, alternating the papers and fussy cutting the images to add to the panels.

I finished the card with diecut embellishments in the corners and black gems. I have left the back panels blank to allow me to write a message and stamp a sentiment.

Hope you like it. I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

Curtain Call Accordion

Hi All!
Back with a card made with one of the Elizabeth Crafts dies - a little accordion card using some of my last precious scraps of Graphic 45 'Curtain Call' papers!

I made this one into a Charlie Chaplain / film theme which would be perfect for a man's card. The base was created with black card and the borders cut with the Star Frame Edges.

The back borders were cut in cream card, inked with Distress ink, whilst the interior borders were cut from gold mirror card. Some of the little star gold star off cuts I popped back into the cream borders on the back.

I then fussy cut images from the papers to create the two little scenes, added Liquid Pearls, and put two sentiment panels on the back, decorated with stamps from the papers, to allow you to write a message.

Anyway, hope you like this card. I've made a little video just to show you the card:

Many thanks.

Graphic 45 - Crafty Storage

Hi All!
Today I thought I'd share my crafty storage solution. Like many of you I have lots of little bottles of Stickles, Liquid Pearls, Alcohol Inks and Embossing Powders and I wanted somewhere to house them, so when I saw a little pine dresser in s charity shop I bought it with the intention of altering it.

First I painted it black and then I decorated it with Graphic 45 Olde Curiosity Shoppe papers from my stash that I had been 'hoarding'.

The actual dresser is about 18 inches high and is hollow underneath, so it left a little space for me to house a mini album which I made to match and be able to list the products I have, the products I want to buy and some images of projects I've made with the products.

I've added plenty of pics below and a Youtube video, which is a little shaky at the start as it was difficult to get the whole cabinet into shot so had to record the first part freehand - but hopefully you will get the gist!

The side of the album with pull chain

Each pocket page is labelled with a little folder inside to write down my supplies and colours.

I added fussy cut elements from the papers, tags, pockets and lifting panels.

Anyway, hope you like it!

My Secret Garden

Morning Crafters!
Today I thought I'd share something a little bit different. This is my version of mixed media. I didn't have any laser cut wooden embellishments so made my own version by getting out my Crafter's Companion dies and cutting a couple of layers from Centura Pearl card and sticking them together. With the dies I had I made this little Secret Garden scene.

To make it I first cut a piece of chipboard as my base then die cut all my shapes. The dies are used are as follows:
Die'sire Wrought Iron
Die'sire Icicles
Die'sire Ivy
Die'sire Bebunni Butterfly
Sheena Douglass Wild Rose
Trimcraft Lock and Key
Embossalicious Clouds

I used Mod Podge to glue all my pieces to the chipboard. This included an embossed cloud background, silk flowers, seed beads, lace and all my chipboard pieces. The little bricks were made using the negative pieces from the Wrought Iron die.

I then covered the whole thing with gesso.
I then used my Luminart Micas and spritzers to add the colour before adding a wee bit of definition with Black Soot Distress Ink, glitter in the centres of the flowers and Glossy Accents on the lock and key.

Anyway, hope you like it. It is amazing what you can create with your dies. After creating this I'd now like to save up for stencils and texture pastes to make even more interesting backgrounds.
Best wishes and bye for now

Fabulous Florals

Back with another post today to share a pop up card I made using the lovely FREE download papers and embellishments available on the Crafter's Companion website.

If you're looking for lovely designs to make a card for Valentine's Day, Mother's Day - or simply 'Just Because' - the February collection fits the bill.
I decorated the outside with the fussy cut embellishments, made a mirror out of one of the frames by adding silver mirri card behind, and clustering the flowers together in the corner. I also added a panel of Centura Pearl card that I embossed with the lovely Floral Wonder Embossalicious folder. Inside, I made a pop up sentiment and decorated it with flowers cut from one of the design papers, and finished the card with pearls and glitter for a bit of sparkle.

Hope you like it. I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
Papertake Weekly - Hearts and/or Flowers
Creative Card Crew - Glitter

Lady Thelwell

Morning All!
Did you manage to get your Thelwell Collection from Create and Craft yesterday? Such a fab assortment of Norman Thelwell's images for us to craft with!
Today I'd like to share a little easel card I made, perfect for using up those left over scraps of card and toppers from the paperkit.

I made the easel card using the Die'sire Chantilly Circle die cut from Centura Pearl and decorated it with a scalloped circle of patterned card stock, a topper, sentiment and a small piece of border for a stopper. I then finished off with gems and flowers.
Hope you like it!

Horsing Around with Thelwell

It's here! The day of the launch of the Thelwell collection by Crafter's Companion. Make sure you tune in to Create and Craft for this Four Day Deal to see all the fabulous inspiration to get creative with these new products.

Today I thought I'd share how great the images are with a simple fold back card made with one of the patterned pieces of card stock included in the paperkit which I edged with a punched border of red card. I then cut a scalloped square mat for my topper and added that to the fold back. I carried the punched border theme on with a lacey punched strip down the length of the card to bring the design together before adding a sentiment and some Card Candi. A really simple but effective card where the products speak for themselves.

Hope you like it!

Thelwell Rides Again!

Back today with another sneak peek from the Thelwell papercrafting kit by Crafter's Companion, due for launch on Create and Craft tomorrow.

This time I have used one of the patterned card sheets and a topper to create an easel card. I focused on the turquoise blue in the design and teamed it with some matching plain cardstock to cut a lacey mat for the topper using the Die'sire Oval die. The addition of some flowers, punched leaves and a sentiment finished the card.

Anyway, hope you like it...and don't forget to tune in tomorrow to Create and Craft at 8am so that you can get your hands on this fun, fab horsey collection!
Best wishes

Thelwell is nearly here...

Exciting news to share today...
On Monday 9th Feb at 8am, Crafter's Companion will launch their latest CD collection on Create and Craft. The fabulous Thelwell themed CD, stamps and papercrafting kit is such fun to work with, and once you see the samples, you're going to want to order a set of your own.
I was lucky enough to work with the paperkit which is the lovely Hunkydory quality we all know and expect, so I thought I'd share one of the 8x8 cards I made using the pink and purple themed cardstock and images in the pack.

Hope you like it...I'll be back soon with more to share.

Lovebird Pop Up

Hi All!
Today I'd like to share an anniversary card I made recently using papers and images from the Crafter's Companion Camden Town CD.

There are some very pretty images and papers on the female CD so I decided to choose these lovebirds and fussy cut them, the surrounding flowers and birdcage to decoupage the front of the card, and also to create a pop up inside. To finish off, I added glitter and Glossy Accents for a wee bit of bling!

I love revisiting older CDs as you often forget what is on them. I really enjoyed creating this pretty card - you could also alter the sentiment and send it for Valentine's Day, or make it into a Wedding or Engagement card.
I'd like to enter this card in the following challenges:
Creative Card Crew - Glitter
Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
ABC Challenge - C is for Cupid
Anyway, back soon. Keep warm on this chilly afternoon!
