A Proper Gent

Morning All!
Today, for a change, I wanted to share a piece of wall art I made - inspired by Lynette Jasper. I bought this black frame in a sale and decided I need to create something to go in it!

Each little panel has been die cut with lots of layers of black card, gold mirri and design papers, then the images fussy cut from Graphic 45's 'A Proper Gentleman' collection to create each little collage.

I love the effect - which can be achieved with any of Graphic 45's collections - but this one in particular would make a great Father's Day gift or male birthday prezzie with its clean lines and lack of gems, glitter, pearls or ribbon!! lol!

Anyway, hope you like it!I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:
Winter Wonderland - Lots of Layers (non Christmas)
Crafty Creations - Something Old Something New (Old = Graphic 45 collection - a Proper Gentleman with old vintage images. New = Black Frame)

Back soon with more crafty makes!
Best wishes

Coming Up Roses!

Afternoon All!
Today's card is a little pop up card that I was commissioned to make for a lady's 70th birthday.

Here I used a combination of papers and fussy cut images from Graphic 45's 'Secret Garden' and 'Sweet Sentiments' collections. I added a couple of little butterflies onto acetate to make them 'flutter' and finished with glitter for a bit of shimmer.

The birthday sentiment is from Craftwork Cards with the '70' added in peel offs.
Anyway, hope you like it. I'm hoping to enter it into the following challenge:
Creative Inspirations - Roses
Simon Says Wed Challenge - Anything Goes
Papertake Weekly - Take Your Pick (technique - fancy folds) Pop Up Card.

Best wishes and bye for now

Light a Candle

I just thought I'd share a quick idea with you to make some fun embellishments for a birthday card.

I used the Embossalicious Cupcake folder to create my image and then cut it out and matted it on to cardstock. Then, using the tag images and scraps of leftover design paper from the Sugar and Spice CD I made some little candles - rolling the paper into tubes around the end of a paint brush - and then stuck them to my card. For 'flames' I added teardrop gems - I think it looks quite effective and fun! Why not give it a go!
I'd like to enter this card into the following challenges:
Crafty Creations - Something Old Something New (Old tear drop gems from my stash/ New Embossing folder)
Cards Galore - Anything Goes

Anyway, have a good day and will be back soon with some more crafty makes! xx

Anyone for Tennis

Back today with a masculine themed card for a change. I used Graphic 45's 'Good Ole Sport' papers to create this 6x6 card from Kraft cardstock and matted and layered the papers, fussy cut various images and punched a top border.
For a masculine feel I added twine instead of ribbon, embellished with Pearl dots and Glossy Accents instead of glitter, and finished with a tennis racket charm to complement the tennis theme. Anyway. hope you like it. I'd like to enter it into the following challenge:
Simon Says Wed Challenge - It's a Guy Thing
Thanks for popping by!

A Little Bit of French Country

Afternoon All!
Today I thought I'd share a a little gift idea I made recently for a friend's birthday. I recently got hold of the Graphic 45 'French Country' papers ( an older line but new to me) and made this little notelet box and four notelets.

The box was made using the Envelope Board from We R Memory Keepers, and I decorated it with matching papers and embossed the Core'dinations cardstock panels with a Honeycomb Embossing folder. Finally I added Glossy Accents to some of the fussy cut elements to make them stand out.

Anyway, hope you like it - I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

Thanks a Bunch

After Birthdays and Christmas it is always good to have some 'Thank You' cards to hand to send out and thanks people for their gifts and cards. I created this card using the Sugar and Spice CD from Crafter's Companion.

The Card Companions on the CD are ideal for giving you a matching image, embellishments and a sentiment, and I teamed these up with some designer papers and an embossed background before adding quilled flowers, lace, pearl pen and glitter.
Hope you like it! I'd like to enter it into the following challenges:

Allsorts Challenge - Spring Flowers

Tweedie Bag

Hi All!
Just wanted to share another sample I made using the soon to be launched Tweedies CD from Crafter's Companion.

This time I decorated a gift bag with the images in a shabby chic style - inking and tearing some of the papers and embossing one of the design papers with the Embossalicious Floral trellis folder, before finishing with gems, glitter and pearl pen.
Don't forget to tune in to Create and Craft on Monday 12th to get your CD!

Tweedies Easel Note Holder

Morning Crafty Peeps!
Today I'd like to share a project that I've made using the Card Companions from the new Crafter's Companion Tweedies CD that is due to be launched as part of a 4 Day Deal on Create and Craft on Monday 12th.
I created an easel card but for the stopper made a little box for a memo pad - a great gift idea and card in one.

This is a lovely CD, with lots of fabric appliqué designed images, so if you have friends and family that like sewing crafts this would be perfect. That said, there are lots of different images that can be used for both males and females, young and old - a real 'All rounder'.

Hope you like my project - will be back soon to share some more crafty makes.
Best wishes

Vintage Floral Notebook

Morning Crafters!
The theme on the Crafter's Companion Challenge blog this month is Shabby Chi/Vintage so I was inspired to make a little notebook using the papers and images from the Vintage Floral CD by Crafter's Companion.

I love my fussy cutting so there was plenty of images to layer up and use as decoration, and for added dimension I embossed one of the layers with the Embossalicious Floral Wonder embossing folder. I finished off with some Pearl Pen dots and added a couple of coats of Mod Podge to seal it.

Hope you like it. I think it would make a great Thank You gift so would like to enter this in the Papertake Weekly Challenge which is Anything Goes/Thank You

The Try It On Tuesday Challenge which is Favourite Things - my favourite technique is fussy cutting, whilst over at Polka Doodles there is a Tic Tac Toe challenge - I have chosen the line with a sentiment, more than two layers, and dry embossing.

Anyway, back soon

Pretty in Pink Calendar

Hi All!
Well, here we are in another new year and the its time to get those calendars out and start planning the year ahead!

I made this little calendar using one of the frame cards from the Crafter's Companion 'Sugar and Spice CD and added the Die'sire Chantilly Lace die - cut in half to give it shape, before embellishing it with flowers made with the Die'sire Forget me Knot and Lace Bloom dies coloured with Distress Inks. Finally, I added gems and ribbon and the little calendar to the front. Hope you like it!
